Our path to becoming Fox Wedge Furniture began with a love for woodworking.
Troubled by the lack of woodworking education in the Tulsa area, our founder started laying the foundation of what is now Fox Wedge Furniture.
Our company has evolved from woodworking education to custom cabinetry and ultimately, to fine furniture. Here’s how our journey built the foundation for the quality and craftsmanship we’re known for today.
Fox Wedge Furniture began over a decade ago as a woodworking school. Tulsa Wood Arts was started in an effort to bring woodworking to the Tulsa Metro area, and was focused on traditional techniques and CNC machining to build custom guitars. This experience set the foundation for our workspace, creating an environment ideal for experimentation, troubleshooting, and refining methods that are now core to our approach.
When demand for the woodworking school slowed, we transitioned to Tulsa Cabinets, immersing ourselves in the art of cabinetry. Custom cabinetry gave us a unique skill set, but it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, when we created a few custom furniture pieces to fill the lull in cabinet jobs, that we discovered our real passion and potential for designing furniture.
With focused training, a growing team of talented furniture designers, and a year of intense product development, we shifted fully to high-end furniture production. Today, Fox Wedge Furniture proudly operates from our Route 66 workshop, blending traditional techniques with high-tech tools to create pieces that reflect both our heritage and our dedication to quality.
Our workshop is the heart of Fox Wedge Furniture, where vision and skill transform sustainably-sourced materials into timeless furniture.
Every piece we produce embodies our commitment to quality, durability, and artistry, rooted in traditional craftsmanship and enhanced with modern methods. Here, a talented team of builders and designers brings ideas to life, blending passion, precision, and innovation for each unique project. This space is more than a workshop; it’s a creative hub where each product is made with intention, ready to become a cherished part of your surroundings.
Nestled along the iconic Route 66, our shop is part of a historic pathway connecting the past and present. This location symbolizes the journey of American craftsmanship, a tradition we’re proud to carry forward in our work.
Our shop stands as a nod to this legacy, combining age-old woodworking skills with today’s innovative techniques to create furniture that will last for generations.
As a member of the Tulsa Market District Association and an immigrant-owned business, we’re dedicated to our local community. Through collaborations, event hosting, and material donations, we actively support local initiatives.
From donating scrap wood to The Fab Lab for other makers to use and sawdust for ceramicists to use while firing their wares, to partnering with the Lobeck-Taylor Family Foundation in Mother Road Market’s Limited Time Only storefront and with local artists to create pieces for their projects, we embrace our role in Tulsa’s creative and cultural growth.
Recent projects include work for Tulsa favorites like Jones Co Coffee and Gradient, and we’re excited to bring new energy to Route 66’s Centennial celebration.
We’re proud to be rooted in Tulsa, a city with a thriving art scene and a strong commitment to supporting local businesses. By giving back and engaging in community projects, we’re helping make Tulsa an even better place for craftsmanship and creativity. See our products, all made in Tulsa.
